The one on the right is my brothers spike. The kicker is less than an inch. Both taken on opening day, mine in the morning and his in the afternoon. The fork horn was taken Sunday morning by another hunter at the lodge we were staying at. We hunted 4F, Otsego County.

Real slow week. I hunted everyday this week including today and saw maybe 6 does total. We hunt 185 acres in munnsville ny(madison county) there are nine of us that hunt there and no one has seen a buck or more then 3 deer per day.

THIS IS MAKING ME MAD, i know theres 2 big bucks very close to my area, but they REFUSE to come out during light, i know where they bed, i even try to call them, but nothing! i saw a 4 pointer and a 3 pointer, and a spike, as well as plenty of does and thats just this weekend, this year ive seen 10 diff bucks, all under 7 points, of cause i hunt in the area that you need 3 points on one side to shoot them, and both bucks were short by ONE point this weekend, overall its been a horrible year for a decent buck, And my patience and time is running out.

Had a great opener in 7J. Saw 17 deer 3 bucks (I do believe I saw the same group twice minus 1 or 2 deer) Shot a 8 pt @9:00 hanging out with a doe. Missed him @ 8:45 and he stood there looking around as the doe fed. So, as I calmed down and waited for a better shot, a small 4pt came charging in and the 2 buck starred at each other for about 10min. As the smaller buck took an angle to the doe the 8pt followed giving me a perfect shot. A little luck never hurts while hunting

Had a great day. Saw a couple doe first thing. Also saw a fisher. Something I've only seen once before. This 7 pointer came by about 9:30 with his nose buried in a doe's butt. He's not a monster but weighed 156. It's all worth it with family and best friends.
