NYC DEP Lands
 

Hey, I hunt in the Catskills and have been hunting more and more DEP land the last few years. This year I am actually leaving my own land and hunting DEP land on opening day. Anyhow, does anyone else on here hunt this land?

I used to hunt a lot on the northern end of the catskills. Done very well with the rifle. Haven't shot any monsters but there are some deer to be found.

This is my first year hunting on DEP property down in Dutchess and Putnam. I have seen some small game hunters, but I haven't seen anyone else during the bowhunting season so far. I have seen a good number of does and spikes, but I have yet to have ashot at any of them. I may venture out this weekend with the slug gun, but I would imagine there would be more people out there.
