paying to hunt in MD

RE: paying to hunt in MD
A trophy is all in the eyes of the beholder. Personally, a nice fat forkie off of public land that I scouted and put my time in hunting would be more of a trophy to me than a big 8 point that I paid someone to let me hunt after they scouted it and hung the stands. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with going through an outfitter, I've done it before for sikas and bears, but for a whitetail, I don't think I'd pay to hunt in the same state that I normally hunt in.

It's too late to do anything this year but put an add in The Kent County News in late spring of next year after people have opted out for whatever reason. I used to use a guy named Kirby Bryan who lives in Easton. He's primary a goose guide but has a few deer farms to. Try and locate him and he might be able to fix you up.

be careful putting too much attention on kent county if you dont want to see prices go up more for hunting, thereare a guide services in the area you could contact. Aproperty close to ours they charge like $2k a year per guy, a lot of money to hunt a average spot...

Quality deer mangement is what we all shouldbedoing.
Look at tax maps on the county web pages some times you can find little tracts of land that no oneknows are public. You can allso get names and addreses for land owners that live out of state I had sucess getting leases and or permission to hunt undeveloped 4 and 5 acre parcels of land this way in the past.
