Default quick end to a hunting season

The first day of season was promising being that I was not able to get out and do much scouting. I was able to locate a nice 10 pointer on the back end of his prime - Nice heavy main beems but starting to loose tine length and thickness. The second night I setup and he comes right in I draw back from my tree stand and am waiting for him to hit my shooting lane and an old injury came back to bite me in the A@# - my should dislocated just as I was going to touch off my release.

Needless to say I missed and spent the next hour in my stand trying to pop my arm back in - No I can't hardly lift my bow let alone shoot it. Well I hope rifle gets here in a hury and that buck is still around.

Good luck to everyone on a good season.

I did get my arm back in and was able to get out of my stand ok, but I probably wont be back out for bow this year - Maybe the last week of season if it is feeling OK - No, I don't have to do what Mel Gibson does. I have to grab my wrist with my other hand push forward and twist my arm at the same time to make to ball of my shoulder roll back into place. Yeah it sucks.

We have a ML season but it is after rifle season. Makes no sense to me because by then all the deer are spooked out of thier mind. I wish we had an early ML season.

Ouch!
Not that it will do any good this year but can you learn to shoot a bow opposite handed?
