Jamiebuck,

I started hunting Connecticut last year, what a blast. It is great to be able to huntfrom September 15th right on thru the end of the year with a bow in the bow hunting only areas.

As far as bear hunting goes I usually get out until the CT opener for archery. After that it is just a case of running across one during the MA archery season.

Anyone hear anything about the possibility of a lottery moose hunt??

HH

I haven't heard anything about moose lotteries... It would be nice though! We have a spot in Blandford loaded with Moose.

I just got my CT tags in the mail the other day. Hopefully lay down a couple of baldies b4 MA bow.

Saw a nice bear the other day... Well over 200.

Lots of moose in Otis-Balnford area as well as northern worcester county. Still no lottery....

I remember the first moose I ever saw was deer hunting in Otis in 1996. A small bull. I almost couldn't beleive my eyes. Now its a common sight there.

I had a cow run up to me on a drive last year.... 20 yards. We always seem to bump moose out in Blandford. Walked right up on a cow w/ 2 little ones last year. The bull busted out on the top of the ridge past one of our guys after the took off.
Pretty neat to see them.

Hey guys!

Nice to see some local activity on this board. I too am hunting zone 7 and scored a doe permit. Woo Hoo!

I'm out'a Wilbraham but am originally from Chicopee. Can't wait til 10/15!

I was looking into Conn. archery with it so close, but wasn't sure about the State Land?? How are the local farmers in CT for permission?

Later!
