PA or NY outfitters?

A buddy and I are looking for an outfitted archery deer hunt in Either Pennsylvania or New york state. Not trophy hunters and don't mind taking does either just looking to expand our own Ontario seasons. Looking for archery season. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

here are some I found with a quick search No personal experience with any. I did see the second place featured on Peter Fidducia's Woods & Water and looked like a great place. I don't know if the 3rd has deer, mostly exotics. I have seen the 3rd and 4th places advertised at outdoor shows.

You ever think of doing it yourself? NYS is one of the most hunter-friendly states in my opinion when it comes to ease of gettign started and the amount of state land we have with great hunting. I think you could do just as well (since you siad you aren't looking for trophies) and save a ton of money doing it yourself.

Dont know about the New York links but both PA operations listed are high fence preserves.Fine if thats what you're looking for...

Nope not looking for penned hunts. We were thinking of using an outfitter mostly because being non residents it would save us a bunch of time scouting public land and I was under the impression from what I read here and other sites that public lands are crowded and gameless. Figured outfitters would at least hunt private lands/leases. Hey we're happy just to hunt does, just looking for an additional week of hunting.

Terry, what kind of hunt you looking for? Farmland, big woods, mountain. Treestand, blind, still hunting? What is a realistic # deer sighting looked for? Just does? Both?

I'm looking for whatever is most effective be that treestands ( we have climbers ) or blinds. As for cover , again no real preference. We just want to bowhunt deer ( does are fine ) but want to have decent oppurtunity of harvesting one each, you need to realize that where we rifle hunt if you see 2-3 deer in a week its been a good week yet we always get our buck usually. Ideally private land I would guess with a good population. We rifle hunt big woods here in Ontario so something different would be interesting.

I wish I had some places to take ya! I would look into southwest NY. Lots of deer, more a farmland style to give you some change. Good luck.
