If there is to much snow antlers will be buried. If only a little snow the antlers should show up better! I am not sure about the bucks up this way as I have only seen 4 deer yesterday a doe and 3 young ones. The moose I have seen 3 with racks still on them, they should have lost them already. I am not sure why they still had them but should be off within a week or 2. Good Luck finding the sheds though.

I walked the woods today (1/28/07)and found some trees with moose rubs all over them. Than about another hundered yards Ifound at least five separate rubs in this one area. The trees were about 4" in diameter. The trees were in groups of 4-5 each. A couple were about 4 feet apartor more.I'm 6 feet tall and these rubs stood just over my head. The rub marks were still whiteunder the bark of the tree. So, I guess the moosestill have their racks?I never wen't into this area before. Just pulled of to the side of the road and started wallking the woods. Must be alot of moose out here or I just got lucky..Hope you had a goog day Trapper??

NE Pennsylvania the bucks still have antlers. Give it a month, i suppose. Some probably already dropped and some might hold on surprisingly long. A bulk should probably drop in the next few weeks.

yeah theres about 3 inches of snow on the ground where im at. If theres any sheds on the ground then there pretty much covered.

sorry, i should have said if theres A LOT of snow on the ground, then wait till it melts
