PA's late archery season opens tomorrow. I've been going through withdrawal. I get my fix in the AM:D. Lots of nice bucks still out there!

I cheated BT, I used a shotgun this morning to take a doe.
Now I"m going to head out for small game. Besides taking the doe, I saw a turkey, squirrels, grouse and a rabbit. I'll try to take some squirrel and grouse but the grouse are pretty safe, I've never hit one yet.

Am I missing something? I thought shotgun was out. It's only flintlock and archery right now right? Just asking because I don't hunt western Pa and there may be a game law I don't know about.;)

Oh, I see antlerless opens back up in 2B today. Does that mean you can take a doe out there with a rifle or is it shotgun only? Like I said, I never hunted out there so I don't hear too much about those game laws. Learn something new every day.;)

2b if you are inside allegheny co, its shotgun only (where I was). The 2b parts outside of allegheny co, rifles can be used to take does.

2b is also unlimited doe tags till they sell out, this was my 5th doe this year. All legit. And I'm done now.

Congrats on the doe Rybo! All I saw was 3 Labs. It seems my landowner has a new neighbor since November and the new neighbor has three dogs. I'll be back out tomorrow AM
