Grouse Studies and Habitat or Deer Numbers?

I say Grouse studies and Habitat, when you have good habitat for Grouse that means you have good habitat for deer, cut some trees Deer and Grouse will be very happy.

Most certainly it would be Grouse studies and habitat, simply because the seccissional habitat described within the PGC's Grouse Study Report supports all aspects of wildlife and especially Game. It would also mean that they would have to cut some timber.

Which begs the question; Since the study has been ongoing on State Game Lands 176, known as "The Barrens" for some 31 years, andhas proven itself to effective in promoting grouse numbers equal to those experienced by several North Central states such as MI, MN, and upstate NY, and also prove a profitable timber harvest using this proven method,why hasn't this proven plan been put into effect on several other PA State Game Lands? Surely there must be more than 1 Game Lands suitable for employment of this proven plan in 31 years!

there are a ton of grouse up on sgl 176.....I went to penn state and hunted there. Everytime I would be walking to my bow stand I would flush one or two.....
