NY Southern tier

is the deer hunting and turkey hunting any good there.? I think I can locate some inexpensive land near Greenwood, just above the Potter Cty Pa line, but dont know much about the area, is it rifle or shotgun , is is mountainous, rolling , hilly, is it worthwhile taking a ride up there.. Thanks for any help guys......

Yea it's not too bad. Let me know if I can help I sell realestate in the Broome, tioga and Chemung area.

The hunting is excellent in that area...The town of Greenwood is in Steuben County, which is currently shotgun/ml/pistol, but it is very close to Allegany County, which is rifle...

It's in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains...Definitely not flatland...Lots of hilly timber interspersed with dairy farms...

Good fishing also on the headwaters of the Genessee River and other streams, plus an easy drive to the Finger Lakes..It's a great area for outdoor recreation..

Ditto what Pygmy said. Additionally, Steuben is up for switching to rifle next year if it gets approved.
