Whos heading out on Saturday? Dumped a couple hundred pounds of Sweet taters, corn and old pears last Saturday at the leased place. There's no sign anywhere, but figured I can use some fresh air for a couple hours. Anyone else gonna give it a try?

Sure will. Just built a new stand in the back of the property 2 weeks ago. Put a feeder out 1 week before that and something has been hitting it hard. Good luck to everyone.

Well,Harry i have a T/C blackdiamond,but i just bought a ProHunter and that thing is dead on at 150 yrds, hope to see a big one!!!

Good luck Nick with the Pro Hunter, T/C makes makes some good guns.
My longest shot to date is 230 Yd's with a 209X50 Encore, 130 GR's Pyrodex pellets and 250 Hornady SST.

I guess it would be inaccurate to call muzzleloader season the 'primative' gun season anymore. ;)

Today was a bust. The guys who lease the field for geese were hunting this afternoon. Just a misunderstanding. They were very apologetic and it wont happen again. Just ruined the evening. Will try it again Monday.

Only heard 1 shot tonight and it was miles away. How'd everyone else do?

I wasnt taking a shot at smoke poles, its just amazing what they've done with the technology the last 10 - 15 years.

At about 7:30am I had a nice buck come out. I watched him for a while then he started heading towards my buddies stand. All of a sudden he comes troting back towards me. Came w/in 25 yrds of me. Nice 8 pointer. My buddy was watching a even bigger one from the opposite direction, and when he turned the 8 pointer made him. Go figure, we can't see a buck like this when there open, and we see two durring anterless season, and of course no does.

Yeah went out Sat, and saw a nice 8 point come to the corn pile, and talk about and heartbreaker, man this 8 should have been a 10 i would have had a nice deer in the truck for sure if i could have shot the buck with abow it just never works out, when it's shotgun i dont see bucks when it antlerless i dont have my bow and see nice sized buck, i tell u i am loosing it.[&:]

Went out this afternoon. There were alot of people out in my area but no shooting.

There's a stand right on our property line that cuts us off from the prime bedding area. No one hunted it all muzzleloader or Nov shotgun. Thought they finally came to their senses and moved in a little deeper back on their land. It was occupied today! Unreal. Im just not meant to shoot any deer. :(

Well i dont think any one is beacuse sence shotgun nobody i know has shot a deer, now what do u guys think about that?????

There was no one out at any of the farms around me today except for myself. They must have all got a memo I didnt because no deer movement again tonight. I didnt hear a single shot anywhere. Pretty sad season so far.

ACTUALLY YOU ARENT ALLOWED TO SHOOT A BUCK IN THE REGULAR DECEMBER ANTLERLESS SEASON WITH A BOW. YOU CAN ONLY SHOOT ONE IN THE EXTRA ANTLERLESS SEASONS IN OCTOBER WITH ARCHERY EQUIPMENT.
