Hillbilly where might you live in the area, Harpers Ferry, Charlestown, Martinsburg, Winchester, Shepardstown.... Also do you hunt private or public land. I was just turned onto some awesome public land 15min from my house and have already seen a few Monsters. I have been trying to find private land to lease now for 2 seasons, I even put 3 adds in the news paper, but not 1 person responded. And I dont have the balls to go door to door or farm to farm to ask...If you hunt public land let me know maybe we could meet up. I a hunting the Shannondale Springs WMA

There are a few people on my hunting forum that are from around that area. Of course I am not, I am located in the south central part of the state. Sure hope you can find some land to hunt, but public hunting areas also produce some nice bucks and a lot of hunters.

Good luck.

No you mean way way to many people now. They'll need to make rt9 an interestate highway before long.

Rem1100 you have some very nice public land over your way. Sleepy Creek, correct. Do you use that to your advantage or are you lucky enough to hunt private property...

you mean "unlucky" enough to LOSE 90% of the private ground to out-of-state developers?
rt 9 used to be just fine...the locals aren't the ones overpopulating it !!
Sleepy Creek is the largest public hunting area in the tri-county area...you hunt there, I'll pass.....except for Spring Gobblers.
