QUESTION ABOUT 11 YR OLD SON
 

I've hunted PA back in my college days in the early 90's. With the age limit being 12. What would I have to do to get him an out of state license. I have many friends still in PA so land is not a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Obviously a hunter safety course but would one in Ny be valid that sort of stuff. He is extremely accurate shooting gives dad a run for his money. Too bad NY still has the ridiculous 16 yr old big game age limit . No wonder we are loosing hunters by 16 they chasing the tail and its not white or playing high school sports which then offers little time to hunt.

I think any hunter safety course will do but they do need to be 12 years old to hunt. I got mine right before I turned 13 but didn't start deer hunting about 4 years later.....

you can get him his hunter safety course at 11, but he cant hunt here till age 12.
