mountain lions in ny
 

well its offical, my uncle has been seeing mountain lions for a while now, and no one belived him, he finally got a pic of one,
he called the dec and theysaid they dont exist, he said he got a pic of it and they said it was a bob cat, but than they came to his house and looked at it and confirmed it was a mountain lion.

Soap, if we knew what REALYY walked around in the woods we probably would climb a bit higher!!!! LOL Can you post the pics?

hes lives about 3 hours away from me, ill get them next time i vist him, the funny thing is the dec people denied they existed.

there really nothing to argue, many have been sited in ny, its not a myth its a fact.

yea there have been many sitings in the past. doesnt surprise me at all that he got a pic of one. be cool to see when you get it

BARofsoap is correct. I have a neighbor that was awakened by his goats being attacked by a black bear 2 years ago. He shot the bear and wounded it. They called the DEC and the next day they set out to find the bear. While tracking the bear through snow they came across Mtn. Lion tracks. This is in the beginning of the catskills. They reintroduced them to control the coyote population but it is not working. They need to release more mtn lions to reduce the dang coyotes
