7 days till christmas eve....
 

Christmas eve for PA bowhunters that is! Most of my stands are out. A couple more go out Sunday. The bow is all tuned up. The camo is washed and in the sealed bin. DAYAAMMNN I cant wait!

Every year on opening morning, I walk to my stand in the pre-dawn, dank blackness, pinching myself and asking:

"could it really be here? It seemed so far off before and now it seems so soon. Am I ready? I hope I make the most of it! What was that sound? on and on...

Then the sun comes out, the skeeters start biting and I see nothing all day, and it occurs to me:

It is oh so early in the season yet, damn near still summer.

Still, I can't help but get all pumped. That is what it is all about after all!
Here's hoping the weather stays cool for all of us.
