Any truth to MD deer disease rumors?

It seems that this year, I've heard more rumors about deer disease in MD than I can ever remember. I've heard a rumor of thin, unweary, dazed deer roaming Ft. Detrich. I've also heard rumors of deer with the same symptoms being seen around Cumberland. I hunt Md,
but have yet to see anything like this and I have yet to read anything about it in the local papers. Is it just rumors running wild or is there something to this?

I haven't heard anything. Two and three years ago, blue tongue killed off most of the deer in SOME places, but they are coming back after two seasons now of rebounding.

I've heard a lot as well. I also heard the CO had to shoot one walking in circles on the road in Dorchester county, but I'm not sure how true any of it is.
I think there's always a few cases in really dry years, or so I've always heard.
