I used to hunt all over NY the first 17 years years of my life. I now reside in Idaho and have yet to go back and hunt, but have some fond memories of following my father all over the hillsides.

Not sure if I already posted in this topic, but I wil again rather than go through the whole thing!
I hunt the mostly the eastern catskills. I also spend a lot of time on bow in Jersey. I run a website specifically for Northeastern outdoorsmen also. This section is great though for more information. Check out mine if you get a chance:

hey buckdropper..i know where case lake is..i use to fish out there years ago...I grew up in Olean,...Cattaragus county, I also did some hunting out your way, my buddy has land nearKents Farm,I now live in Belfast, Allegany County, and hunt sometimes in Cattaragus (Cuba,ny) Allegany county (everywhere) you name it i've probably hunted there..also hunt Stuben County (Greenwood)

Hello fellow New Yorkers,
My first post, although I've been lurking for a year or 2. Great sight, lotsa good info. Anyway, I live on Long Island, and usually hunt public land up in Delaware and Ulster counties. I use a 7-08 Tikka SS lite, Mathews Outback, and Traditions Pursuit LT muzzleloader. I like to get in as much hunting as I can, and therefore, I extend the season with all the weapons! This year, I might try eastern Long Island - they have been pulling some monsters out of there the last year or so. (the reason I haven't hunted out there in the past, is it's such a PITA with all the paperwork, forms, parking permits, etc.)
Well, I don't know about you guys, but my anticipation of opening day just kicked in. Can't wait to get out there. Best of luck to all of you and will see you on the forum.
