RE: NOW THIS IS A HYBRID....

Me and my buddy shot one last year. It came out at the edge of a field one evening whilewe weredeer hunting. It saw us and started running and flapping its wings as it ran across the field. I think it had trouble getting air borne because those ears caught too much wind. We opened fire. After we shot several shots it tumbled to the ground and started flopping around.

I wasn't sure if I had to use my doe tag, so I didn't tag it. We hid it behind the seat on the ride home. I hope I don't get reamed on here for not tagging it.

I had the wife cook it and we ate it for Thanksgiving. It tasted alot like chicken. The kids were actually fighting over the other drumstick.

I almost got it mounted but the hair started slipping around the eyes. I wasn't sure if I should get it in a flying position or what. I waited too long trying to decide and it started slipping.

Everyone wanted me to get pictures but I was afraid I'd get in trouble for not tagging it. I didn't have a federal duck stamp either.I wasn't sure which way this animal would go. I thought the taxidermist might give me a hard time trying to get it mounted with no tag or duck stamp.

Anyway, Yeah, I saw one of them before.
