Man, I was skeptical before but now there is no question it is a mountain lion!

I should probably leave a disclaimer with that pic, huh?
In case somebody gets wise to my little prank and exposes it
for the fraud it is,[8D] or do you think it is obvious enough for those
who have been around here for a sufficient amount of time.

Livbucks, I can't believe you would attempt to pull one over on us like that. That is without a doubt a fake and I just want ot go on record as being the first one to point it out ..ooooohhhhhhh wait a minute, now I get it, you were doing it on purpose to inject a little humor...silly me. Actually, the funny thing is that even though you made that pic to give us all a good laugh someone will eventually post it on another forum thus creating an entire new argument with a "picture their dad took last weekend at camp". Mark my words.I just wish I was there to whitness that one.

so, without a clear picture of tail length, i guess this picture could be bobcat or cougar?i wish i had more info on like the distance the camera took picture etc.owners are CONVINCED it was cougar. they also have seen bobcats.i know this, that cat was huge in picture and color i never saw on a bobcat.the picture of bobcat here is what i see as a bobcat ,with the black in coat.if this was bobcat , it was orangeish one and huge.i know one i saw there was no doubt it was cougar , i saw the tail and it was round and long but he was running not walking as in this picture.

That is the thing that bugs me.If someone would show me a bobcat pic with a summer coat that looks like your pic, I would be convinced that your pic is a bobcat. Does anyone have a pic of a summer coat bobcat?

sproulman,
Please forgive my little anecdote but it does make a good point here. I once went to atraining seminarat work that was about techniques for making good observations. One of the things they did in the class room was to suddenly march a bunch (maybe 8 or 9) people through the room, all wearing strange clothing, and doing wierd things. Most were carrying something strange too. We then were given a 10 minute break and when we came back the instructor started asking us questions about the strange people that walked through the room just 10 minutes before.Questions like what color was the cain that the nurse was walking with. You wouldn't believe how often people disagreed about what certain characters were wearing or doing. Not everyone even agreed on how manycharacters walked through. I'll never forget that one of the questions was who was wearing the top hat. I was absolutely certain it was the "guy" with a raincoat and umbrella. I was positive but it turned out that I was simply wrong. Not only about the top hat but the "he" was actually a she. Anyway, my point is that its not unusual for people to be wrong about what they think they sawand be absolutely certain about it. It doesn't make us liars, it just makes us human. Again, sorry for the long story...
