i hunted very near jackman. my feeling is most of the deer come into and around the town to get the feed the people leave out in there back yards. ive snowmobiled the area for years and the deer are yarded up close to town. i think thats a different type of hunting. your just cutting off the deer going back and forth from the deer yards and houses . i hunted out in the big swamps and skidder cuts out off the kelly dam road and its tough hunting for sure.
