WV Deer Pics from this season

Here are our deer from this season. We had 4 hunters at camp, plus my cousin and her husband. The pictures don't do them justice. The8pt (left)and the 6pt (2nd deer)had huge bodies. The spike (hanging) was a "lifer" and the other had most of its points broken off. I would not have shot the spike had it not been a really big bodied deer. The teeth were pretty well worn, too.(My scope is really good. LOL) Hopefully Igot a "goat" out of our herd.

The second buck...the big 10 pt was killed late in the week by my cousin. It is 20" wide and rough scored 140.

Here's the 10pt my cousin killed on Friday. She's killed 3 similar bucks in the last 4 years.

Did you age the bucks. If not I would learn how. Big body or not they look young. Congrats though on your hunt. Nice 10 pt.

Wild...The 8pt and 6pt were 2 1/2. The busted spike was 3 1/2, and the other was not aged. (probably 2 1/2, judging by the long spikes...just a guess, though) I actually bought a set of aging teeth from the meat processing department where I work.

Oh, The 10pt was 3 1/2.

The term "they look young" can be deceiving. You cannot age a deer from a picture.

While they're not the biggest bucks in the world...they're better than what we killed when we saw 50 deer per day. We went a few years seeing nothing bigger than a 4" spike not 6-7 years ago. We still have some bigger ones running around, but they made it another year.
