big game minumum caliber
 
i was looking through the new york dec regulation book this morning, and i cant find any thing on minumum caliber size , no rim fire cartridges of course . but it used to be no bore sizes less then .24 was the minumum . am i readikng it right or did they change it , thanks in advance , if they did change it , when

It's been any centerfire rifle forat leasta few years now. I know a few people that hunt with .22-250's.

i have a heavy barrel 220 swift , that will shoot nickles at 100 yards , but id dont think id ever use it where i hunt the shots are less then a 100 yards mostly and you dont ever seem to have the time to wait and check aim for 20 seconds ,to ensure a micro scopic kill zone instant drop in your tracks kill, my 7mm 08 works beautiful and i havent missed a kill zone yet

scarry when you think about it in new york you can legally use a .17 cal .As long as it's centerfire it's ok
