Coyote in NY area 3 and 4 ?
 

Hey Guys,
Have you seen any coyotes in NY area 3 or 4? I plan on going after bear season is over. If you have specifics date, time, location.

I had 2 run by me last year while deer hunting but wasn't sure if the season was open so I held back. They were awesome looking, they were big bodied, looked like siberean huskies, not like the scragly coyotes Ive seen mounted..
I was in Sundown Wild forest off Moore Hill Road, on the Sullivan/Ulster county boarder..

I saw the same think nydeer saw. I was hunting on Northohioville rd in New paltz.

Saw one really big (very long) over at Eldred preserve in the morning. Kept running by me. No shot. Heard a bunch at night, but never saw any at my other club in Glen Spey (area 3k)

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the info. I will look into Sundown and public land near Eldred. I don't know if it's just me but, I've noticed that game animal numbers seem to be down alot from last year except for coyotes that seem to growing.

Contact the DEC for WMA land info & maps, Call the Forestry Office for the region also for other maps of State forests..
