Here she is. Story is in the bowhunting forum. Was able to take her at 4pm today. Broadside shot , right thru the heart.

Man thats excellent. I have struggled with the bow for a bunch of years myself. And this year I have batted 70% which is great for me. Shot me a boar, missed two boar, shot a catilina goat, missed one doe, shot a 7pt and a 5pt and another doe.

make sure for better meat gut the deer where its killed the insides start to break down just minuts after the kill i was told... don't know how true this is maybe someone else can help with this.... but nice bow kill... its always a trophy if its with a bow

i wouldnt worry too much about it. I have heard of guys on here that wait 4hours before going after a downed deer. So entrails breaking down minutes after death isnt a big problem. I always gut deer where they fall(or as soon as possible) but i dont see a problem with someone taking it home first, as long as its within a reasonable timeframe

i actully dropped it right where it stoodit didnt eventake 1step the arrow severed its spine so it was only dead 15-20min. before it was gutted i was very close to my friends house and with all the ticks we had we decided it would be more sanitary togutit in acontrolled area plus we butcher them ourselfs so its less mess doing it once
this short time is ok i helpedtracked deer for my buddy it was found 4 hours after being shot probely dead for over 3 and the meat was fine it only really hurts when you take a gut shot or its vey warm outside

congrats to ya on your firstThat is fantastic. When I got my first deer with a bow (it was a buck 8 pointer) and I was hooked on bow hunting. Now if I had to do any type of hunting I would choose bow by far. I love it.
