That aint no Mtn lion, just your regular kitty cat. You can tell by the side of the brush at the edge of the field and the clumps ofgrass it is walking in it is not 3 feet tall and 6 feet long.

I might be mistaken, but I think that is my house cat, Aloisious. He is quite a hunter. In fact he can even find his own bowl of food on the counter.

i dont see how after watching that video anyone can say it was or was not a cougar.

\Agreed. But... That camera was 2 miles away. and that appears to be a cut hay field, which at the end of October the hay would be high enough to mostly conceal a house cat. I would love to hear what the agent who glassed it had to say. I am not one of those that thinks there is a mysterious nearly invisible population of big cats in NY, but the Northway isn't far away, and if you were a Westchester County resident who found that cute little kitten you bought is now sizing up the kids for an afternoon snack, maybe a quick run up the Northway to the boonies seems like a reasonable solution.

scroll down and look for News channel 5 video on the leftand click on more news then scroll down and look on the right side for nov 14 mountin lion sighting.
