wheres all the deer?
 

i have hunted the last 3 days hard. i stayed out all day and changed stands each time. with the start of the rut i have seen only 2 does. im thinking its the warm weather high air pressure and the start of the full moon. its been this warm all season and there wasnt a day i didnt see good numbers of deer so im ruling out weather.a couple years back i hunted near a green rye field this same time of year and noticed at dark about some 25 plus deer entered the field as i was trying to pack up my climber and leave. do you think deer conjugate at night in areas like fields before the rut. just a theory. 2 of my stands have bait near them untouched. im always questioning these critters. ive also hunted the morning of the full moon and seen many bucks active .

Have seen several and I mean several does without bucks. I can't figure that out and my corn is also not being touched. I think the corn will be hit as soon as it gets colder and they need that energy.

The full moon seems to change the eating times for the deer, resulting in few sitings during daylight. I can't bring mself to change my hunting times accordingly and as a consequence, I'm not getting, or seeing any deer. The warm weather and high wind also have to be negative factors.
