Broken Tines?

I was down at a friends deer camp yesterday archery hunting. During a early afternoon break one of the others hunters brought out the 8 point rack from the deer he shot last weekend. It wasn't a huge deer by any means which is rare in the mountains anyway. But it had a broken g 2. After talking to him about it for a while, I started thinking about the deer I had previously killed in Pa and a majority of them usually had atleast one broken tine somewhere. Is this common throughout the state? And what about other states out there. Can you guys comment also? Just curious.

Here's one that Ruger Redhawk just posted in the Deer hunting section!

Here's the one with the broken main beam.

So broken tines are more common than not?

I think I am lucky, very few of my bucks are busted up. But I have seen my dad take a lot that were.

Just indicates the amount of fighting he has been involved in. Is a good indication that there is a buck around that is very similar to yours in age and rack size. A smaller racked buck will generally not toy with a big racked buck. People are like that too.
