im from mass but looking to find a place to hunt in southern ny.rifle season.i know a few state land spots but they dont look to promising.any1 got any spots i may check out?any help or info would be a big help. thanks and good luck guys.

are you talking the southern tier of western ny? like allegany and steuben county.

in allegany county there are state lands. the biggest i think is hanging bog.

if you are talking about cayaga county trybear swamp or frozen ocean both are owned by the state and are very larg tracts of forest,swamp,creekbottoms and surrounded by farms
