Garrett County 4H land
 

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with property called the Garrett County 4H. Seems to be run by the Univ. of MD but I cant place it on a map. Thanks

It is off 495 between Swanton and Grantsville...I would say 15 miles south of 68. Going north it is on your left. My folks used to have a farm just a few miles northof it.

No problem. There are alot of deer int there but many of them are typical small mountain deer. I dont know who owns the land now (a buddy of mineused to.. he sold it in 1999)but the swamp on the opposite side of the road fron the 4H enterancehas produced a few huge bucks over the years. One thing I will say is chest waders are mandatory to hunt that swamp and a boat to get it out.

Do you know how big it is? Seen any bears there?

The swamp covers about 60 acres... and yea, I have seen more then a few bruins in there.
