Maryland Bear Hunt
 

My buddy was lucky enough to get a private property tag and asked me to go with him. Does anyone live in western MD or know someone who does that could put us onsome bears? Thanks for any help you can offer.

LUCKY GUY I LIVE IN GARRETT CO MD I CAN PUT YOU ON MORE BEARS THAN YOU CAN SHAKE A STICK AT...LET ME KNOW IF INTERESTED..

I used to live in Swanton... Lots of bruins around that area.... most I saw were at the eastern end of Potomac State forest ( my land there bordered the state ground), not to mention hanging out on my front porch...lol

lwpruitt its very hard to get the permit... luck of the draw but very easy to get a bear was bow hunting today and seen 6 bears 3 of them at 10 yards..

I was lucky enough to draw a public/private land tag. I was planning on trying Savage River state forest, but am looking for some private land where my odds might be a little better. It's kind of intimidating trying to look for a good bear spot in all that land in Garret county.
