NY question from a new resident

I hunted in PA the last 15 years and this is my first year with a NY license.

Is there anything I can hunt on September 1st?

I am itching to go.

The NY DEC website has tons of information. Here is a page with all the seasons

The good news - squirrels and, in some places, geese.

The bad news - until Oct 1, you must have a valid 2004-5 license to hunt.
