Archery Hunters Around Mertztown, Alburtis?
 

The wife, kids, and I recently moved to Mertztown just west of Topton, PA . I know this is a big archery area and I was wondering if anyone here lives in that part of PA?

The hunting potential seems high as it's in a hilly area of 5C with a lot of agriculture. Is it as good as it seems? I traditionally hunted 4C in Schuylkill and Carbon and I'm torn between the two areas now.

A friend of mine just moved to Mertztown a couple of months ago. Last name is Delp do you know him? I am just curious. He is into archery hunting also.

Fritz ,the area does have a fair deer pop. The problem sometimes is getting permission on a area that is not already hunted hard. I think the thing that frustrates me around this area is all the planning we do then realize you can hold hands with other hunters when the day comes.DONT trust your tree stand in the woods over night. Good luck finding a place.I would concentrate on small private plots near suburbiaares at the edge of farm crops. Of course gamelands in this area is a joke in my opinion.You want a social event ?? go there.I live down here near Morgantown ,South of Reading.
