first of all thats a nice buck and very good pics. thanks for posting...
okay i do agree that AR work, but again and again i would like to know how many deer per sq. mile you got and how many bucks you got.. when the herd is so low, those big boys are far and inbetween..im guessing cause of where your at you have a nice size herd and lots of private land, thats not the case throughout the state.(sorry AJ but this goes both ways).. the post could have just said here is a big PA buck..

That is a nice buck, it looks like the ones at Valley Forge they have lots ofbucks like that and you can see them anytime, they do have restrictions in place there.

It works fine, but a one size fits all approach doesn't work for the whole state. Some areas don't need to have so many does killed. Seems to me an antler restriction for the whole state, combined with doe permits issued on a county by county basis would work, with consideration of different quotas based on public versus private is needed.

Thats a beauty of a buck. This might seem like an old story by now, but, he looks like a 3 yr. old to me...can you imagine what he'd look like in a year or two? I don't blame ya if you whack him though...I'd run a slicktrick through him in a heartbeat too!

Very nice deer. Like I said in previous posts. Every year I see bigger and nicer bucks. I like the AR's. Are the 4 point restrictions in effect for Indiana PA?

boy thats a pretty nice one. ya gotta remember we had alot of big racks before the AR program ever started. so why have the program. i think it was great to shoot anything you could see. it got alot of hunters out of the woods early so we could chase the big one. i always thought if someone shoots the smaller ones the bigger get bigger. it worked for over 50 years so why change.
