Hey you guys, I got the european mount back on this guy. Here is a quick pic of it, but if you want to see more detailed one of it you can go to the taxidermy forum where there are more pics of it.

Good to see you use a safety harness as well. |
RE: Last Year's Deer
ORIGINAL: .308hunter Yea, I don't think I will ever forget the mental image of the arrow leaving the bow and hearing that ever-so distictive "thud" as it strikes home. That is definatley something that I don't even think Alheimers (sp?) could take away from me. Duckmastor2- Yes that is my old bow (grew out of it)...it was a PSE Nova set at 62 lbs. That right there is the entrace hole (quartering away) and it was a complete passthrough. The bow was shooting 2016 at 202 fps w/ Thunderhead 100 doing the dirty work. How far did he run after the shot? |
RE: Last Year's Deer
Thanks you guys.
Losthorn--that buck went about 175 yds. after the shot because I thought he was quartering away more then he was and i hit to far back....ended up hitting one lung, the liver, and the esophogas. |
