RE: Bear-zilla
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't NJ just decide not to hunt bears. I'd love to get a crack at a bruin with 7 inch pads. If this beast is for real he's got to square 8". Just the though gets my heart pounding.

RE: Bear-zilla
Jersey is slowly breeding the fear out of their bears, and soon, real soon, some folks are gonna get eaten for lunch by one of these guys. I just hope it is an "animal lover" or "tree hugger" that gets eaten. I just love when stuff comes full circle like that.

RE: Bear-zilla
I hope no-one else gets hurt , but if they do I hope their kin to Cambell , the a-hole who has stopped the hunt last year. Or even a city dwelling peta or audaban society(sp) member out enjoying the wild scenery.. OOH they get me so mad.[:@] Protesting something they know nothing about.

RE: Bear-zilla
I know it's a grim thought but maybe if a blackie tangles with a human and causes a substantial injury, the sentimate of the general public will change and bear hunting will return to Jersey. It's sad that this is what it takes for common sense to prevail. Without hunting, the bear population will continue to grow and at the same time the human population is growing and so are the demands on the land. As developement of land continues one of two things is going to happen. There will be more negative bear/human interactions or the DNR will spot the problem before it explodes the New Jerseyians will get a bear season.
I hope the later happens before some inocent child is mistaken for yogies pick-a-nik baskett. |
RE: Bear-zilla
I agree with you guys. If someone pays the price for their stupidity, I hope it is THEY who publicly protested hunting them. I had me an incident this past December that I can't get into except to say you don't want to be visited by an adult bear, especially at night!
