early model CVA Mountain Rifle Big Bore .58 & .54
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Selling an Early model CVA Big Bore Mountain rifle, it comes with two barrels. A 32" Deer Creek (aka- Douglas rifled) .58cal barrel with 1:70 twist (40 shots fired in it & in PERFECT condition inside and out) And it comes with a 32" CVA .54cal 1:70 twist barrel. Both shoot excellent. I took my elk in november at 140 yards with the .54cal barrel. What it needs, I lost the spring to the trigger, replacements for 50cents from Dixie. Also needs 3 patch box screws, 2 nose cap screws and a toe plate. Very simple stuff. Everything on this rifle is in like new condition. The .54cal barrel has some light pitting but has never given me any trouble. I currently have it set up for the use as a single trigger and its set for around 2 1/2lb trigger pull. Stock is highly figured Curly Maple. I used a water stain and it hid a lot of the curl. It DOES have amazing curl in that wood though! Also comes with a double cavity .562" round ball mold.
