I made a couple of these for friends and family. We harvested the trees that were standing dead and milled them on a portable saw mill. They are made from blue stained loddgepole pine or fir. I have a small supply of Barnboard also. The tops come off so the mount can be secured and then reinstalled. weight can also be added to keep the redestal stable.
