Anybody hunt Wisc. for bears?
Here are a couple pic's of big bears I shot with my bow in Wisc. I love bear hunting, just wish they had a spring season, and that it didn't take 5 years to get a tag.

Bukmastr,
Really Nice bear!!! I have applied for the past four years in Wisconsin. I think next year is my chance.
Do you know of any guides or outfitters for bear in Northern Wisconsin?
Haven't decided if I will be using my bow or rifle. How far are the average shots?

Mathewsconquest2,
I PM'd you a great guides name and number. Average shots can very. You always try to place the bait in a way so the the bears can't circle down wind of you. But alot of the time they will come within 50 or 60 yards, show themselves and leave, only to come back at night and eat all your bait. I hunt them with a bow and only take close sure shots. If its your 1st time... and if you really need to score, you might consider a gun. I shot my 1st one with a gun, from then on its always been with the bow. bow
