Midget freak...
A recent post in a different site about a buck with no antlers reminded me of a Crazy buck I shot a long long time ago in S.E. Wisconsin. I was waliking through a feild just before dark with my bow. I see this deer at a scrape stairing at me so I stop. It was getting dusky and foggy, it was hard to see but it looked tiny like a fawn but seemed to have a big neck in comparason to body size. Suddenly it started running right at me. I thought it was a doe and decided I would take it if it gave me a shot. as it got real close, i drew the bow and shot it about 10 yards in front of me. I aimed right down the neck beside its head. The deer slammed into my leg knocking me over.
Then just kept running past me and then colapsed. I was kinda freaked out about the whole thing. I get over to the deer and could not beleive my eyes It appeared to be a mature buck with mini antlers that curled down and around like a ram. the buck was a midget. So small I picked it up and carried it to the truck. Worse part was I had to burn a buck tag on it. ![]() ![]() |
RE: Midget freak...
Buk, did you have him mounted? Will make a great conversation mount.
Hope he did'nt breed any does. He needs to be DNA tested. He could have passed his genes in your area. Bad for your deer herd! |

RE: Midget freak...
That's definitely pretty unsual compared to what you normally see!
|
RE: Midget freak...
wow his body is a sh*t load darker than his neck. weird, but cool
|
RE: Midget freak...
Shoot a predator and have it mounted in it's mouth.:D

RE: Midget freak...

RE: Midget freak...
Cool rack. Looks like one of our Michigan specials.

RE: Midget freak...
I love how the hair on his front shoulders and chest is soaking wet, but his neck and head are bone dry. It goes from wet to dry immediately, and the blood splotch get's cut off at the wet/dry line too.
No doubt about it, that's one of the worst Photoshop jobs I've ever seen. |
RE: Midget freak...
Well fake or not, its still a werid looking buck lol
|
RE: Midget freak...
Consider myself an above average photographer.Taken thousands of pics over the years in various formats.
For those who think this is a fake - IMO its the best damn fake I've ever seen:eek: Matter of fact - look at the left palm(hand) pressing on the left horn. Wonder how he faked that?? |
RE: Midget freak...
Then you must not have seen many fakes, because the quality on that one is poor at best. :D

RE: Midget freak...
1st time I opened this thread the top part of photo wouldn't/didn't open?? Now I can see the top photo.
I now see what everybody is talking about. Hummm Maybe the poster can explain this ![]() |
RE: Midget freak...
I don't know why the hair coloration changes... The photo's are real. Why would I chop the head off of a freak dear and put it on a different body? You should be able to tell the antlers in my hand are real.

RE: Midget freak...
You could always have it made into a Jackalope , it looks to be about the right size . ;)
|
RE: Midget freak...
Wether it's fake or not, looks really wierd!!

RE: Midget freak...
Dan-
You surely have that rack/skull laying around somewhere. Bring it out and show another pic to dispell these folk's questions about authenticity. |

Still have the scull plate as said in a different post it is at a taxidermist But I can go over and take a picture after my turkey week ends, or I get my bird. Not haveing to much luck in all this wind though. I would like some good pix of the scull plate anyway, You can't see the the curl or the simetry in the above pix. |
RE: Midget freak...
Sorry, missed the part about the taxidermist.
Lots of weird stuff growing out there. Here is a Pike County buck I have been looking for- Pic taken in early July 2003 Continued good luck! ![]() |
