Heading to the new Cabelas........
 

Whew!! I finally got a weeks vacation to come down to the new store in K.C. on Saturday. Has anyone got any great deals on anything that I should be looking for? The bad draw back is that I have to take the Mrs. down with me, and she might try to put a clamp on my money!!!<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
I have heard it is really nice and I am looking forward to going.


Maybe if I tell her that camo has a &quot;slimming&quot; effect on her??......

I live 10 minutes from Cabelas and it is sad to say that I have not even been there yet. I've had lots of friends and family go and can't say enough good things about it. I'll make it there this weekend. Have a good trip...where are you coming from?

Just got back from there. It has some neat displays. Mule deer country, an African display and the mountain. Nice archery area if you are into that. Statue out front is cool!!!

There are a lot of specials. I can't remeber them all, but there's are blooket they have there with all of them in it.I'm working this evening until 4am to make sure we have everything stocked good enough for the weekend. Put almost 40 hours in in the past couple weeks even though i'm part time and should be getting around 25. But in our hunting department we've beat the rest of the departments. So that's a lot of product to keep replaceing. Its a really fun job though. Be prepared for a crowd on the weekends though, there are usually about 3 times as many people then as during the weekdays. There is a tent out in front witha a lot of big stuff in that has some good prices too. I've met a lot of cool celebrities already, Saturday is my day off, so have fun.

The Hunting Department is completely stocked!!! I just got home around 5am, and about to go to sleep. Now just go by a bunch of stuff.. lol

The store is kinda high priced for a man or women on a budget.There is alot of stuff that is priced just right or even on sale.This is a great store cause it has everything. No more going to K-mart and they dont have it and to Wal-mart and they dont have it.this is your one stop store.And for taking your wife with ya thats a great idea,just have her watch how you get there so at Christmas time she knows how to get there.(i took mine and she not into huntin or stuff like that and she really didnt want to go but she enjoyed it when spent bout 3 to 3 1/2 hours in there just lookin)Just make sure you check out the Mule deer country its WILD.Have a great time and lets us know if there is any sales
