IL Nuisance Permit

Has anyone ever got one? I sent an application (government permit) downstate a couple weeks ago. I don't know if they take applications or if I have to call. We have a major goose problem here, and was hoping to take care of it legally, but if we need to, I hate to say it but I might do some poaching.

i dont know about goose but for deer nuisance permits u have to own at least 40 acres.

i would just go to the dnr website and look up a # and call em. u will get a much faster response that way.

I don't know how it works for the birds. I contacted the powers that be about getting the names of people in my area that applied for nuisance deer permits. They would not give out the info. I was wanting the info hoping to find some new bow hunting land.
I thought it would be a win win, I'm looking to bow hunt deer and their looking to lower the deer count.

I would ask your local game warden. When we have animals tearing up our golf course, thats who we call.
