I have 90 acres in Monroe County & it is chock full of Coyotes. They pack up like wolves - something to hear at night!

I can't go rabbit hunting without seeing lots of 'yote signs -- tracks, poop, mutilated rabbits/deer remains. I live in a very suburban area too. I have even seen a couple off the side of the road, either running, or watching traffic. And this is within a quarter mile of a subdivision. I would say central Ohio has a lot of yotes.

A friend in a nearby town shoots them from his porch.

I use a rabit in destress call ( year round)
a howler chalange call (late Jan- early mar) during the mating season
a coon in destress works for me in over called areas.

The fawn in destress call is best in mid spring to mid summer ,have not had luck with it in the winter

I just moved from Butler county a couple years ago, we saw coyotes all the time. I've seen coyotes while I was hunting, fishing, just walking the dogs and even saw a few at a large shopping mall once!

They seem to be all over south western part of ohio.

Seen several while deer hunting in Ross and Highland counties.

We have them here in the Perry/ Muskingum county area. We can here them from my house at night. Had a coonhound fight with one once. A friend of ours hunts on the family farm. They see, hear, and have shot a few too. We have seen them deer hunting as well.
