do you have a preference of WHERE in Indiana? I know the Journal Gazette here sometimes has some leases in the paper, you may be able to find the info online... if I get a chance, I will look.

My opinion is this: Find a farmer or land owner that will lease it straight to you..without the middleman (i.e. a lawyer or real estate agent). With a middleman..you'll pay more...b/c everyone has to have their cut. I found a family who has almost 1,000 acres..and just lease their farms out yearly. Just a couple papers to sign, exchange of $$, and a handshake is all we had to do..no legal junk.

BTW..what part of Indiana? The NE part of the state has some quality deer.

Each state has a area that produces the best deer, what part of Indiana is that?

The NE and SE parts of the state produce (on average) more deer than any other section...but the NW part (even though heavily populated) has skyrocketed the last 2 years. Do a quick search for IDNR deer forecasts for exact county numbers.
