anybody that has hunted Illinois
 

Hey guys i am new to the forums and am a 5th season hunter and have still yet to kill a deer here in illinois.my question is is if anybody has any orange plastic check station tags or any illinois deer pins that they give to u at the check station that they could mail me for my hunting wall i am making here at the house.i have some things on the wall but these things would make a great addition.

With all due respect to huntIL, this is his first message and it raised a red flag with me when I read it. There is no address or personal info in their bio.

The thought of adding it to a trophy wall sounded peculiar to me.

Personally, I am not comfortable with giving a plastic leg or head tag to someone I do not know. I could be attached to an animal that was not legally killed or picked up.

I have no information about this poster and certainly am not accusing them of anything illegal. I just like to be safe.

Perhaps they could contact the DNR for a tag after the season. That way a trail would be in place if that tag number ever came up.

Maybe you can stop by a check station in Adams County and they'll give you a tag.

I just read your new bio. PM me and maybe I can get some things to you for your wall. I have lots of pix to share with a young hunters such as yourself.
