SAT. MORNING SAW 14IN. WIDE 8 POINT, 6 POINT, AND 5 DOES. NOTHING SUN. IN THE RAIN. DID NOT HUNT THAT PROPERTY SUN.
THERE HAS BEEN THREE GOOD BUCKS TAKEN ALL AROUND ME, INCLUDING A 160 CLASS 8 POINT. THE TWO BUCKS I AM HUNTING ARE STILL WALKING AS FAR AS I KNOW. STILL SEEING TRACKS AND RUBS.
NEXT SAT. MORNING I WILL BE HOPING THE SECOND RUT WILL KICK IN AND MY SMOKE POLE CAN BARK.

Bobby5- did you say that you shot a 5 point Sunday then shot at a 14 pointer the next thursday? What would you have done if you shot the 14 pointer? That is illegal!! You can only shoot 1 buck per year!!

dang how far down Olean Road do you hunt , ive hunted my land in olean for years and never saw a buck after the second week of gun season except once i saw a monster during muzzleloader. It seems right after the rut the bucks dissapear. When you come off 129 and go down the road and there will be a S in the road and there is a cowpasture on the right go down the road a little bit there will be a small white house with a garage behind it thats were i hunt. How far down the road was the 160 class buck killed i wonder if its the same one i saw.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HUNT REAL CLOSE TO ZIGANS PROPERTY. THERE IS ONE MONSTER THAT WAS ON HIS THE TUE. AFTER GUN SEASON OPENED. A BUDDY OF MINE GOT HIM ON VIDEO AT 7:30AM THAT MORNING CHASING A DOE. HE LOOKED TO BE A 160/170 9 OR 10 POINTER W/ AT LEAST 10IN. BROWTINES. THE 160 DEER WAS KILLED CLOSER TO 129. ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD.

Yep I hunt right next to Zigans land and thats the deer i prolly saw. My dad saw him come up out of Zigans woods before deer season opened. He had real dark antlers. My grandpa use to own all that land but sold it now we only own 14 acres. I saw a monster one night comin home right by that brick house on the right right after you turn off 129 the house close to the road.

I think i had the buck you saw cross a field in front of me this morning. He was 350 yards away with 2 other bucks that was in the 130's. He looked to be over 200 pounds, becaused he made the 2 smaller bucks look really small. he is a 10 pointer guessing he would go in the mid 160's. I could only hunt till 8:15 because of work. I saw them at 8:00. they were on the property my friend hunts. I dont have permission. If i had time I think I could have made it in front of them before they got to there beds, that is on my side. I will try again in the morning, but I can only hunt till 8:30 because of a Christmas party.

SplitG2, how far was the bucks from Zigans property, the only thing i saw all muzzleloader were does and a spike, did you or your buddies have any luck during muzzleloader season?
