Illinois shotgun season
 
How is everyone doing i have a question regarding the first shotgun season.
What can someone expect as far as deer movement,is the rut still on,what are temps useally that time of year i have never been out there i will be hunting on private land in brown county i know that you cant predict the weather and pressare has alot to do with the movement but the farm we are hunting has light pressare i am just trying to get a general idea any info would help.

Well as far as rut goes last year it wasnt near as good shotgun as it was for bow but yet those bucks were still cruisin for those doe's good had alot come into tinks. the weather all depends really, i think it has been alot colder now than in other years as far as the morning goes so dont be afraid to over dress, you can always take clothes off but cant put clothes on you dont have:D good luck to ya.

around here friday of first season is about normal after that everything goes out the window as deer are moving everywhere

Don't worry, the deer will be moving on shotgun season for damn sure. Sit up there all day.
