not when i hunted fayette county. maybe it's just your spot i've seen tons of deer there and the biggest buck i've ever seen. might wanna do a little scouting

I shot one this year already and a buddy of mine got one last night. So I believe there are only 3 or 4 left now. Might want to try Pike county, or something like that.

You can't beat Carroll County if you can find a place to hunt on the bluffs. We have always filled our tags with mature deer. The guys in our group that want 2 tags usaully fill them if they want the extra meat. I saw 38 deer last year within 200 yards of my stand.

I know 5 hunters that hunted Pike for years and either can't find any land to hunt as the outfitters leased it or it is just to crowded for them. Those deer are pressured right on the open of Bow season. The trophies are in these sleeper counties along Big River. At the check station in Mt Carroll you will see more 160+ class bucks then you chave ever seen.

In Champaign county, I have a little spot that I can hunt once or twice off of a county forest preserve. It is unbelievable. Vermillion county has some great hunting too!

i think fulton county and pike are about equal. i read that in like 2002 pike county only had 200 more bowkills than fulton county. state record was shot in fulton county also guys. <<Bryant buck

What about MIDEWIN? They just pulled a 14 pointer out of there and several 6 and 8. It's been private for a LONG time so the deer are real mature there. Ill be going up there on the 7th for some sweet rut action, i post some pics!
