It has definately been a slow start for me this year. I was able to take a doe 2 nights ago but that was the only deer I have had a shot at. Seen a few other does a couple times but I have yet to see a rack.

My brother got a buck opening day last week...since then...we haven't seen a thing! I'm still waiting for a couple of good frost-overs...b/c the bugs are still everywhere up here in NE Indiana. A little rain would be nice as well...

All I've seen so far have been does very early in the morning ,

I hunt in Dearborn County (SE Indiana), and haven't seen much. Saw a couple of does, but thats it. My brother in law saw a nice 9 point but let him walk. There are bigger deer on the farm we hunt, but just hven't seen them from the stand. With cooler temps, the deer will move more. It is supposed to be cold this weekend, so we will see what happens.

Ya Ive only been out once and saw couple of does, Planning on either hunting private proerty this weekend or public land cant make up my mind yet, I was thinking public because more hunters that cant set still push them my way, Qustion do you feel its to early to lay down a drag rag trail of somesort buck urine or doe?

I think you can lay down a trail with buck urine. The bucks should start to get the "itch" here real soon. The buck urine will only make them mad.

They were moving around yesterday morning (Saturday, Oct 16). The corn fields are pretty much gone, and the colder temps got them up and moving (finally). A spike walked 15 yards from me to my left yesterday morning..then bedded down behind some thick shrubs...then went into a corn field (which got shelled last night).

Well i sat in my favorite stand on public land thinking there would be more hunters out Saturday(16) Guess the watched the weather 22mph winds sleet and gust over 30mph, stayed on stand all day and saw nothing. But you cant kill them at home, activity seems alittle slow so far the day before i did see couple twin does someone must of killed there mom because they were young and dumb hung around my stand about 25 min, one even bedded down, still alot of corn that paralles the woods. Got to get better
