just wonderin
From Marion County Illinois here. I had a buddy tell me he's heard about a bunch of deer dying around this area. Somethin about they're bit by fleas and end up gettin a high fever and it ends up killin them. Don't know if this is true, just wondered if anyone else has heard this. CH

RE: just wonderin
I have heard of some of the penned up deer (deer farm) have been getting sick. I cannot think of the disease though. I don't think the native deer are in danger.

RE: just wonderin
Phantom- A guy I work with has a deer farm in Effingham co. and he lost like 14 from his heard. People are also reporting that they are finding some wild as well. Can't remember the name either but it seams like some that have gotten sick are recovering, possibly building an imunnity to it.
P.S. you gonna make it home to hunt? I'm the guy that lives in Patoka |

I think what you are talking about is called blue tongue disease. That is the samething Johnson County had a few years back. silbowhunter ![]() ![]() |
