As long as your not carrying a gun no you dont, after i fill my tags for the year i like to video tape my cousin shooting his deer its a really good experience.

Actually...depends where you hunt. Private land..as long as your not holding a weapon your fine. however, some public lands you can't go on them without having a permit, which often times requires you to have a hunting lisence.

You might want to ask a warden on this one. I let mr G/F go with me last year a little bit, well we got checked by DNR while we were walking back to the truck. The officer didn't write a ticket but he did say that she needs to have a hunting license to be with me.

I agree talk to a warden , here in Ohio you can not "assist" in hunting with out a hunting license , what ever that means.

In LaSalle County i had the same question last year. Called Springfield and asked for answer to it. No license required. Just needs to check in where appplicable. I would check with the local area you intend to hunt but the formal statewide ruling is no license needed. Just no weapon in hand at anytime of course.

I can't imagine that if you don't have a weapon in hand or heck...even in the truck, that you'd need a license just to go out and video tape. Doesn't make any sense to me.
